We love giving back through charitable work! Throughout the year we support local organizations doing great things in the world. Your practice can and does make a difference in this world. Twice a year we join the Moksha/Modo community of studios to fundraise for incredible initiatives like The David Suzuki Foundation and Big Brothers of Greater Vancouver during Grow Your Yoga (spring) and Speak Your Peace (fall).
Attend our weekly by-Donation Moksha Class every Friday at 6:30p. Bring a cash donation (minimum $5) to support a local charity doing good things in the world. May Karma funds donated to Coast Mental Health Foundation.
Coast Mental Health: One in five Canadians will be impacted by mental illness in their lifetimes. For some, the illness will be so severe that it tears apart their lives. Isolation, addiction, homelessness and even suicide are often the result, sometimes long before their illness is even diagnosed. At Coast Mental Health we know that with compassion and courage, recovery is possible.
It takes compassion to see beyond the devastating effects of mental illness and help someone rediscover their potential. It takes courage to believe that you can overcome your diagnosis and imagine a better future. We’ve been helping people find that courage since 1972. We make community-based mental health care possible by providing the three essential pillars of sustained recovery: Housing, Support Services, and Employment & Education.
