In 2013 I walked into Moksha Yoga Burnaby on the recommendation of a friend and within my first week knew that I had found a community to support my practice. Prior to this I had a push-pull relationship with yoga for the better part of a decade; something about it called to me and at the same time frightened me. In wasn’t until 2010 during my training to become a counsellor that I turned to yoga’s physical practice to help me embody the changes I was experiencing mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. Yoga for me is the way that I return to myself over and over again with each breath.

In 2012, I took a 200 hour teachers training while living on the Sunshine Coast. I am also trained in trauma-sensitive yoga and yin yoga. I am honoured to teach yin classes at Moksha Yoga Burnaby and give back to a community that has given me so much.

The Pillar I am currently working with is Sangha Support. As a business owner, student, partner, friend, teacher, yada yada – I find it easy to lose real and authentic connection to others. I am working at being present and engaged with whatever and whomever I am with. I am practicing taking great responsibility in my thoughts, words, and actions in relation to myself, others, and the world around me.
