Karma Charities We Work With
We are so honoured to work with the following local and global charities.
The statistic is familiar: one in five Canadians will be impacted by mental illness in their lifetimes. For some, the illness will be so severe that it tears apart their lives. Isolation, addiction, homelessness and even suicide are often the result, sometimes long before their illness is even diagnosed. At Coast Mental Health we know that with compassion and courage, recovery is possible. It takes compassion to see beyond the devastating effects of mental illness and help someone rediscover their potential. It takes courage to believe that you can overcome your diagnosis and imagine a better future. We’ve been helping people find that courage since 1972. We make community-based mental health care possible by providing the three essential pillars of sustained recovery: Housing, Support Services, Employment and Education.
